Rejected petition Put an end to the dangerous practice of police officers being single crewed.

Violent attacks on our police officers are on the increase. 2 police officers have been seriously injured in the last few days 08.08.19 and 10.08.19.
It is irresponsible to allow and unacceptable to expect police officers to be single crewed. It has to stop.

Research carried out in 2016/2017 indicated that over 50% of officers were often single crewed and just over 20% were always single crewed. They also found that the odds of physical attacks and injuries requiring medical attention were significantly elevated in officers who were always single crewed.
