Closed petition Allow retained/voluntary emergency services to you use green warning lights to respond to emergency calls
Closed on
The Governmment should amend the appropriate laws and legislation to allow retained and voluntary emergency services such as HM Coastguard, RNLI, Retained Fire & Rescue crews and Ambulance first responders to use Green warning lights on their vehicles. The purpose (as currently with doctors) is not to demand priority or to allow breaking of any Road Traffic Regulations, but to indicate that they are on an emergency call and to request courtesy from other drivers in facilitating their progress to the incident.
