Petition Remove residency requirements for ballistics forensic scientists

There is a shortage of qualified ballistics forensic scientists in the UK. The Home Office currently requires 5 years of residence in the UK before candidates can be cleared to work.

Currently only apprentices, who take two years to train, are available to recruit. Qualified people who have spent prolonged time abroad aren’t able to fill these vital jobs.
