Petition Make a specific offence to film a person receiving medical attention in public.
So often when a person is involved in an accident or is receiving medical help from emergency services in the public, members of the public not involved with that persons care will stop to take photographs or to film them. Currently police have no legal power to stop this immoral practice.
More details
At present police cannot force a person to stop filming this. There have been many documented cases of people recording Paramedics performing CPR on dying patients. This is offensive and immoral and can cause great distress for the patient, relatives and even the emergency workers involved who have no power to stop this from occurring.
