Closed petition All Milk Banks should be given NHS funding and regulated

All mothers with premature or sick infants deserve access to safe, screened breast milk if it's required.

Donor milk should be available to support mothers should they have challenges with breastfeeding or milk supply in the early days.

It’s a postcode lottery as milk banking is reliant on local health trusts to fund them.

It’s all rather unregulated and UKAMB would like to see it regulated in the same way as blood.

I am a mother, I doubt I would have my child here today if it weren't for me being lucky enough to have access to this life saving service.
