Rejected petition Introduce criminal offence of travelling with intent to trophy hunt.

Trophy hunting is the killing of carefully selected animals, for pleasure. Frequently, this is big game such as lions, giraffes and elephants. It is a cruel and barbaric practice that has no place in a civilised society. The UK must take an ethical stance and set an example to the rest of the world.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for criminalising trophy hunting in other countries.

You could start a new petition asking to ban the import of wild animal trophies into the UK if that's something you'd like to see happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
