Rejected petition Automatically unseat any MP who changes party until a by-election is held.

MP's are elected on their party manifesto. When a sitting MP changes party he is no longer honouring that manifesto and ceases the represent the majority who elected him. In such a case the MP should have to stand down and a by-election must be held in his constituency.

There are many MP's who were elected on a pladge to honour the Brexit vote who then crossed the floor to vote against the wishes of their constituents.
