Rejected petition By elections where MPs did not vote for the majority of their constituents.
In light of recent events in goverment it is clear that MPs are not carrying out the wishes of their constituents, this is within all parties in goverment. An MP should vote on behalf of their constituents that elected them, if not by-elections should be held in those areas.
More details
17.4 million voted to leave, overall +60% of areas voted to leave. MPs whose constituents voted to leave as a majority should represent them, that is why they were elected. Also MPs whose constituents voted remain should have that right to vote with them without fear as they are only doing what their constituents wanted.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
How an MP votes would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
You could ask your own MP to vote according to the result of referendum in your constituency. You can find out who your MP is and how to contact them here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
