Since England's historic Ashes win in 2005, the British public has been deprived access to live international cricket on free-to-air terrestrial television.

Despite this, the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and Ashes series have captured the imagination of the British public and there has been a surge in interest in English international cricket.

It is time to review the categorisation of the ICC Cricket World Cup and Ashes - and indeed of all England international matches. This has the potential to unite the nation and inspire the next generation of cricketers.
