Hoax calls affect everyone, makenit difficult for people obtain the service they need In time and puts pressure on everyone this enclude the RNLI it cost everyone Thousands of pound in resources and time.

It's illegal to make hoax emergency calls. Those who make hoax emergency calls can be prosecuted and fined or receive of prison sentence of up to six months. Prosecutions are a matter for the courts, which are independent of both the Government and Parliament.
