Closed Increasing the fine public drunkeness offences from £80 to £300

In order to reduce amount of public drunkeness and therefore the amount of damage to property and harrasment of the general public on the streets of the UK, I submit that increasing the fine for public drunkenness offences such as being drunk and disorderly from £80 to £300

This is so that the fine will make more of an impact on the offenders bank balance and will hopefully make them think twice about their behaviour in future.
