Let’s do what should have happened in 2012, let’s introduce proper standards to our press.

The culmination of the Leveson Inquiry was a series of recommendations, including a new watchdog independent of MPs and newspapers, with statutory underpinning.
These recommendations were not taken into law because politicians accepted assurances from newspaper owners.
