Closed Full metrication of the UK

The UK should complete full metrication rather than running a dual system. Countries such as Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland have successfully completed full metrication. The UK has had over 40 years to get used to the idea and we know have a strange hybrid of both systems because converting to metric is perceived as unpatriotic and as a system imposed on us by the EU. Imperial measures could easily retained for personal use.
