Rejected petition Allow students to get free transport passes between home and college/uni
A lot of students inside villages have to travel out to their college/university. While some colleges/universities fund their travels, many do not which puts students who don't go to a college/university which does at a financial disadvantage, possibly shaping where they go solely based on that.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
School transport is the responsibility of local authorities. You could raise the issue with local councillors who represent you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, here:
https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
You could start a new petition calling for an action that is the responsibility of the Government or Parliament. For example, a petition calling for the Government to increase funding to subsidise school transport or fund bus passes for people who are in full time education, if those are things you'd like to happen.
