Rejected petition Harsher sentencing for criminals proven guilty of physically abusing pre-teens

A death/murder can be unintentional. An extreme end to a disagreement etc. The physical abuse of a pre teen child is normally premediated /no fault of the childs. Why should the sentence for murder be worse? Surely child abuse is the worse crime? The sex offenders should receive the life sentence
