Rejected petition Members of this Parliament cannot stand Again, and all will lose pension rights,
This Parliament has had four years to produce a reasonable exit from Europe but each member has put his or her own personal ambitions before that of the people they represent
More details
To further their own ambitions they have acted on the premise that the voters of this country were extreme in their view either to leave or stay. Instead of realising the majority wish to be part of a trading European Union but not a political one. The majority are happy with the Customs Tariff Union but do not want to pay into a political Europe or for our laws to be subservient to those decreed by the EU

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for deciding on MPs' pay and pensions. This is the responsibility of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), which is independent of both Parliament and Government.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
