Rejected petition Proof of identity should not be a requirement when voting in UK Elections.

The Conservative Government want to introduce a requirement to provide proof of identity (either a Passport or driving licience,) to vote in UK elections.This effectively takes the right to vote away from the homeless, the poor and anyone else who cannot produce a passport or driving licience.

Electoral Fraud is negligible!
Analysis of cases of alleged electoral fraud in 2017;
• As of March 2018, there had been 1
conviction and suspects in 8 cases had accepted police cautions.
• 1 allegation of personation in polling stations led to 1 successful
conviction.
• The majority of cases (289), 79% of all cases, either resulted in no
further action (207) or were locally resolved (82).
• Almost half of all cases of alleged electoral fraud reported were
campaign offences (165 cases).
