Rejected petition Change the way vehicle tax commences & is refunded

The DVLA currently only allows vehicles to be taxed from the first day of the month. Vehicles taxed mid-month have their road tax back-dated.

Secondly, if you come to sell your vehicle mid-month and qualify for a road tax refund, the DVLA will only refund whole months.
