Petition Make EU Referendum Day into a public holiday.

If there is to be another referendum on the EU then it should be made into a public holiday to ensure turnout, especially if it going to be held in winter with shorter daylight hours.

More details

It is vital for democracy to ensure participation of the electorate especially on the issue of the EU where some people are weary of it. If there is going to be another referendum then make this into a public holiday so that people are more likely to vote on it, especially if it is in the winter where the daylight hours are short or the weather is cold or wet.
