Petition Make age restricted goods / events require ID regardless of age / appearance

Currently, businesses operate schemes such as Challenge 21 / Think 25. I believe that age restricted goods and events should require ID regardless of how old you look and/or how old you are.

More details

This would cut out the risk to businesses and employees who could be shut down, lose trading licenses or face legal prosecution.
This would also aid in the prevention of underage drinking, smoking, gambling, knife crime and so on.
This would also fit better under the Equality Act by requiring ID from everyone instead of determining their age based on their appearance.
