There are currently plans to sell the UK's Search and Rescue capability to private businesses. At present, Search and Rescue is run by the MoD and the Coastguard, as a service on par with the Police, Fire and Ambulance services. Prevent the sale of necessary and life saving institutions that should be run by the country, for the public.
