At present an unfair and uncompetitive franchise is awarded to the winning bidder of the Kent franchise. Thus controlling a monopoly of high speed and "cattle truck" metro and mainline services. This allows favour to High Speed services ( in some cases by scandalously slowing existing services), offers no chance of competition that privatisation was supposed bring.
In the 2014 we the Kent rail users, Supporters and Residents demand that requirements for the 2014 franchise tender provides competition on Kent railways bringing a reductions to the "Cattle truck" snailspace fares that we are forced to use on Mainline and Metro service's.
