Like any good business the numbers and cost of those employed to undertake any task must be optimised to ensure value for money. In any successful business this is "business as usual".

The Government need to ensure that MPs are not exempt from this sound business practice.

A new and truly independent working party needs to be established by the Government to oversee this process.
