Rejected petition Posthumous Medals for newly recognised war heroes

I want the Government to recognise posthumously, heroic actions taken in times of war, where the action was not personally witnessed at the time by a comrade, but records released later and other evidence shows that this person made the ultimate sacrifice for his comrades and country.
In my specific example, Marine Robert Ewart, Operation Frankton 1942 (The Cockleshell Heroes) according to Churchill "shortened the war by 6 weeks" German records now show that these men were tortured and gave away nothing, protecting the mission, before being executed under Hitler's "Commando Order"
A specific Government committee should assess cases brought to their attention and posthumously award a gallantry medal in their honour. It is embarrassing to our Country that these heroes are honoured and appreciated in, for example, France where the mission was carried out.
"Lest we forget" ? the likelihood is that we will forget before the French do.
