Petition Make GPs Prescribe Hormone Treatment For Transgender Patients Who Want it

To put pressure on GPs to prescribe Hormone Treatment for Transgender patients who want it while waiting to be seen by a Gender Identity Clinic.
Hormone Treatment in most cases alleviates stress & distress. The effects are also reversible.
The Government should make this more binding instead of guidelines as laid out in the document "Guidance for GPs, other clinicians and health professionals on the care of gender variant people" (dh_085013)
GPs often use the fact that it is speciality service when dealing with transgendered patients, yet will prescribe Hormone Treatment to Genetic Males or Genetic Females suffering from various ailments associated with age to alleviate their symptoms or correct the problem with that patient
