'Spent' convictions should not show up on any CRB checks. The law states that when a conviction is 'spent' it is legal to describe yourself as being of good character having paid your debt to society. Why therefore should livelihoods be put in jeopardy due to the mistakes of one's youth, perhaps several decades in the past?
