Protect communities from the blight of "abandoned" pubs that occupy key / central / focal sites for community development. Give local councils compulsory purchase powers to put an end to this growing phenomena and or similar unreasonable blight by landlords who fail to maintain their properties to acceptable standards to ensure that they do not constitute an eyesore and block redevelopment indefinitely.
