When living away from parents and reciving no support from them, it is diabolical to have to take into concideration their income when applying for student support.

Currently unless you are over 25 or can prove you have been able to support yourself completely for the 3 years prior to starting your course you have to provide information about your parental income if applying for additional support.

When trying to run a home on this income, completely seperate to the parental home, it is unfair that older students in exactly the same situation are recieving more support.
