This petition was submitted during the 2010-2015 parliament
Rejected petition let the scots decide on independence, without any involvement of the westminster parliament
More details
scottish independence is a matter for the scots. the westminster parliament has responsibility for all of the uk, and has many serious issues to resolve - scottish independence, if it comes about will be just another issue to be addressed.
the SNP has a clear view - let it proceed without interference from westminster. the results of a "yes" will take many years to implement.
the westminster parliament should expend no time or effort on this issue until the scots have decided.
