Rejected petition Make it possible to report dangerous driving videos from social media
For the safety of pedestrians and road users, I want to make a way for people to be able to report dangerous driving that people display on their social media stories, for example people showing off speeding or videoing themselves driving on Snapchat or Instagram.

Mobile phone use whilst driving is 6 points on your license. Drivers who have held a license for less than two years, the license would be revoked under the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995 (Samuals, 1995). Mobile-phone use has a detrimental impact of performance on crucial manoeuvres when driving a vehicle (Hancock et al., 1999; 2003). The likelihood of a car accident is more than four times greater when the driver uses a mobile-phone (Redelmeier & Tibshirani, 1997).

The police are able to investigate reports of crimes posted on social media, but the decision about how to investigate any reports will be a matter for the individual police force.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to provide funding for police forces to investigate reports of crime posted on social media.
