Rejected petition Coronavirus lock down

I feel like the government should follow, other countries and lock down the UK to prevent a Italy like crisis, which could damage our economy even more, I feel like we need to protect ourselves from this deadly virus, and shut everything down for at least 2 weeks.

I think we need to take strong and hard action now before we end up in an even worse crisis then we are in, I feel like hard quarantines should be in place like our neighbouring countries, it is important that the people in our society are safe, I think every social gathering should be cancelled, I think the elderly and most at risk should have action plans and safe measures to protect them, I feel if we don’t act fast this could be a major problem and we could prevent it having major effect.
