At the top of the page above the NHS Direct Web site you will find a premium rate phone number that says "NHS Direct Contact Number" if you follow this link you will be presented with a premium rate phone number rather than the much cheaper 0845 number. No where on this site is the real number displayed or a cost comparison drawn.

The Department of Health should be allowed to protect the NHS Direct name and it's facilities from being used in this way.

The company that is advertising in this way is UK based and should be pursued by the DOH by whatever means necessary to get them to cease this activity at once.
