Rejected petition INCREASE STATUTORY SICK PAY (SSP)

SSP CURRENTLY STANDS AT ONE OF THE LOWEST FIGURES. THIS CAUSES MANY PEOPLE TO STILL GO TO WORK WHEN SICK, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO BE OFF WORK WHILST ON SSP. WITH THE CURRENT ISSUE OF CORONAVIRUS THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT AND RAISED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID HOUSEHOLDS HITTING HIGHER DEBT.

THE U.K. CURRENTLY CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE TIME OFF SICK. SSP RATE IS FAR TOO LOW COMPARED TO MANY OTHER PLACES AND NEEDS URGENT REVIEW. MANY PEOPLE ARE TOO SCARED TO TAKE TIME OFF, WHICH IS CONCERNING WITH CORONAVIRUS, AND HOUSEHOLDS WILL QUICKLY FALL INTO HEAVY DEBT.
