Closed petition Stop reselling of tickets to make a profit

Closed on

Following on from the Dispatches programme entitled "The Great Ticket Scandal" I would like to propose that a law is put in place to make it illegal to sell tickets above face value.

Those of us who have tried to buy tickets unsuccessfully have always known this was happening, there is now concrete evidence showing what the promoters and ticket selling companies do to take advantage of the general public.

We need to stop the promoters and ticket selling companies, such as Viagogo from making huge profits by reselling tickets allocated to them.

If a law was in place to stop tickets from being allowed to be resold at a price higher than the face value this would close websites such as Viagogo down.

Scarlet Mist, which allows the ethical resale of tickets, should be used as an example of how this market should operate, allowing tickets to be resold at face value if no longer able to attend an event.

Please sign to stop this scandal from going on any longer.
