Rigorous testing will enable control of the pandemic nationally and play a responsible role globally. By allowing the virus to spread, we are trying to ‘put out a fire blindfolded’, putting more people’s lives at stake, basically allowing more citizens to die and vulnerable people become seriously ill. In so doing vulnerable survivors, may experience long term debilitating effects on their health. By reducing the spread, this also allows those recovered to return to work and support sufferers.
