Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, those that are self-employed are going to be significantly adversely affected by a lack of work due to cancelled events as a result of the outbreak. This can mean a huge proportion of self-employed people will potentially go without money for the foreseeable

If the self-employed are to go months without earning money, some of the businesses and companies they work for could go under, meaning that even when the coronavirus pandemic is over, the work might not be there to resume. The government must thus provide economic assurance to each person self-employed in the UK in light of this situation. This could be through suspending things such as mortgage payments, providing financial relief in form of grants, or through pumping money into needed sectors
