Rejected petition Urgently review Statuatory Sick Pay. £94.25 per week is not enough money.

Please consider how much money it actually costs to live and look at how much money we are awarded for SSP. It doesn't add up and results in a deficit for the afflicted through no fault of their own. With the current climate, we are asked to take leave to prevent disease spread, at what cost?

If nothing is done, then it won't just be coronavirus you will have to contend with, it'll be homelessness on a scale that is unheard of in the modern era. It'll be poverty, starvation and crippling debt for most working families. The government needs to be proactive, rather than retroactive. Think ahead rather than acting after the damage is done.
