Rejected petition Offer wide scale community testing for coronavirus

I call on the government to offer wide scale community/population testing for anyone who suspects they have the virus and contact tracing to identify and seclude clusters of infections? Ideally through mobile testing centres/drive thorough testing available in every town.

We cannot stop this pandemic, if we don’t know who is infected. Testing only those in hospitals gives us no clear sense of how or where this virus is spreading.

The most effective way to prevent infections and save lives is “breaking the chains of transmission”.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
