Rejected petition Introduce tax relief for the self employed to help through the pandemic.

We are calling on the government to offer assistance to the self employed by way of tax relief to help cover the costs and loss of income due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

More details

Much in the same way the government are offering support to businesses by way of government backed loans and grants. These do not cover the approximately five million self employed workers in the UK who are suffering as a result of the pandemic.

These people play a fundamental role in the UK economy and without support are at risk. A reduction in tax liabilities will ease the financial burden during this period.
