It is current practise for corporate lenders to pass on their legal fees and in consequence there is no effective control of them. Some key lists contain few solicitors and so there is an increasing liklihood of duplication of work and fees.

The fees would be dramatically reduced by a change. It is an extraordinary anachronism.
