Call on the relevant minister of state to introduce legislation to create an oversight body on existing, new and student teaching practice and standards. This proposed chartered body should have the same ideals as any other chartered body: Solicitors Regulation Authority; The Institution of Engineering and Technology etc.; the same responsibilities concerning its profession in providing a check and balance on failing teachers, and the powers to bring disciplinary sanctions, if required; with the Privy Council being its last court of appeal.
