Rejected petition Save jobs and lives by repurposing the closing restaurants, pubs and bars
Enable the UK's hospitality industry, the kitchens and the skilled staff of the businesses you're forcing into closure to prepare, cook and deliver nutritious and possibly life saving meals to the members of society who will need it most during these hard times. Feed people. Retain jobs. Save lives
More details
Covid-19 is going to claim many lives. The business closures will worsen the losses. The hospitality industry is a lifeline of hundreds of thousands of skilled and valuable workers who can help keep our country properly fed and healthy during these critical times. Forcing these people into unemployment will not only be an additional strain on the economy, but is denying vulnerable members of our society access to healthy, live saving food. Social distancing yes. Societal destruction, no.
