Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament

Rejected petition MP's to provide direct support to the NHS during the coronavirus emergency.

All MP's who do not fall into nationally agreed exemptions for frontline NHS workers shall, for a minimum of 2 days per week, support NHS frontline personnel and volunteers delivering appropriate services to those affected by the Coronavirus.
This will last for the duration of the current crisis.

More details

With the reduction in MP's attending Parliament and the recognised implications of the current health emergency MP's are in an ideal situation to integrate with many services who are working for the benefit of those affected by Coronavirus.
Some MP's are medically trained and therefore capable of helping in clinical settings whereas others, due to their knowledge of the populace of the constituencies the represent, are in a unique position to help those most affected.

Why was this petition rejected?

We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.

We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.

This is a matter for individual MPs and not for Government or Parliament to mandate. You might be interested to know that some MPs are already working for or with the NHS, while those who are not are continuing to work remotely for their constituencies:
