Rejected petition Care work should be a skilled trade

I would like the government to recognise care workers as a skilled trade. The NHS would crash without our work and support yet we are the lowest paid and highly needed workers.

I would like the government to consider care workers to be just as skilled as any NHS worker and to at least be paid just as much as nurses. We as care workers also work very long hours caring for our elderly and vulnerable population yet only to be given the lowest paid wage and are known as unskilled.
