Rejected petition Allow university students in halls of residents to end their tenancy early.

Those who have chosen to leave university accommodation should be able to end their tenancy early. Some students are still due to pay thousands to housing companies when many do not have face to face university contact and neither do they have full use of their common areas.

Force university accommodation companies to allow students to check out early and not pay or be refunded any left over weeks. Many students have been isolated at their homes, not their halls.
With new measures also taking place to prevent guests and present the use of common areas, tenancy should be ended early.
