We believe that amending the First Aid at Work Regulations (1981) to remove the requirement that trainers and qualifications are monitored and regulated will be detrimental to the health and safety of the workforce. We urge the Government to consider regulating the First Aid at Work course/syllabus in other ways such as an industry body or through Ofqual, rather than just disbanding the current Health and Safety Executive approved system.
