Rejected petition self employed should be entitled to the 80% pay as the employed are entitled to.
The government need to help the self employed due to the lack of work on the basis they can’t work due to Covid-19 this announcement for 80% pay is fantastic but to not pay it to the 6 million self employed Britain’s that pay in to the same tax system is a disgrace.

The government need to pay the self employed there wage they are effected as much as the employed and if not worse. People can’t earn a wage as premisises are shut and customers aren’t letting us work due to being scared. Please support the 6 million of us that need the government to help as they are with the employed. The government can take an average from people’s tax returns to asses how much they should be paid. The trades keep Britain going. Help the trades keep going.

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
