Rejected petition Pay the Self employed a proportion of their profits during COVID19

Please offer those who are self employed, a proportion of income (which is not deferred or needs to be repaid) as they are losing profits massively due to COVID19.

With a shortage of customers, self employed profits will be taking a hit in this period and it will take some time to regain.

More details

People who are self employed rely on the profits that they make. Due to COVID19 a lot of self employed will loose this income which will be great detriment for them personally and for their business.

With the new announcements they can pay their staff but technically cannot pay themselves as their only income is from profits which the business is now suffering. If the owner of the business is struggling financially to keep afloat there will not be a business for the employees to come back to?
