Rejected petition GIVE SELF EMPLOYED PEOPLE ACCESS TO A GRANT OR FIXED AMOUNT DURING THIS CRISIS
We are petitioning for EITHER at least 50% of the national average wage per month (for however long this crisis lasts) OR 80% of our annual wage which is the same help employees are being offered at the moment.
We have children, rent, mortgages, food and utilities to pay for, need help to survive.
More details
The self employed represent 15% of the total workforce which represents around 5 million people. At the moment we havent been given any SPECIFIC help. We have been told we can claim benefits but have had no offers of direct help via grants from the UK government so far.
