Rejected petition Quicker and easier registrations for nurses (EU/NON-EU) to help fight COVID-19

The NMC's application process is conflicting, unclear and tedious. My husband is currently working as an advanced health care assistant in the NHS. He has been equipped with the best skills available in nursing, however he is not permitted to use these skills due to the NMC's application.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The registration of nurses is a matter for the Nursing and Midwifery Council, not the Government or Parliament. You could start a new petition calling for the Government to work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council to increase the number of registered nurses in England.
